Franz Kline

Have you ever heard of the artist Franz Kline?  He was an American abstract expressionist known for large black and white paintings. Here are a couple of examples of his work. franz+kline+1959 300px-Kline_no2 Today we created some art inspired by this artist.  We cut black construction paper into various widths and lengths.   We then placed a piece of white card on the floor and dropped the lines of black paper onto it.  When we had a design we liked, we glued the paper down.  We also painted some card stock in blocks of color and repeated the process.  Here are some of our results.
