Every day life

Top of the Morning

We don’t normally do much for St. Patrick’s Day.  It is hard when you husband is very strongly English!  However, it is tradition for the first grade at Riley Avenue School to put on a parade, so we could not really ignore it this year.  Both children went to school dressed appropriately.  James had a float for his parade.  We have been planning it for some time.  Grandpa found the wagon and painted it green.  The children helped me with the rainbow, and Simon attached it to the wagon.  The concept was all James’s.  I love how he looked in his hat.  Then we had rainbow cupcakes, ending in pots of gold.
