Coffee filter snowflakes

Am I crazy?  I have decided to try to do one art project, activity or outing every day until Christmas.  Like working and preparing for the holidays is not enough!

Today we made coffee filter snowflakes.  We used round paper filters, colored them with magic markers (felt tip pens), and then folded them.   Then we cut patterns into them, and sprayed or painted them with water to make the ink bleed together.  I did the folding and cutting to start, then the children started doing the folding and cutting.  Can you tell who did which ones?  I think they really enjoyed it, and it kept them engaged a lot longer than I had anticipated.  The cutting and squeezing of the spray bottle, were also good OT activities for James, although he has come a long way, and no longer gets services.
