I tried making some finger paints with Sophia. The results were not great, so I switched bought finger paints. The following day, she painted with regular paint, and decided that she was going to get all messy. She is really just exploring the qualities of paint at the moment. One of her favorite activities is squeezing the paint on to the paper. She wanted me to leave the paint open next to her, so she could keep doing it “by myself.” She painted vigorously, going through paper like there was no tomorrow. This is the kind of painting she needs to do a lot, right now.
James was not interested in painting. It is all too messy for him. He was inside, building an obstacle course.
